Deciphering Polarity Effects of Polymer to Regulate Li+ Ionic Environment in Solid Polymer Electrolytes for Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
We elucidate the fundamental influences of polymer polarity on Li+ ionic environments in solid polymer electrolytes by considering four critical components: Li+, FSI−, residual solvents, and polymer matrix. Beyond facilitating LiFSI dissociation and Li+ transport, our findings underscore previously overlooked roles of polymer polarity, thereby ...

Catholyte‐Free Composite Cathodes Break the Energy Density Barrier of All‐Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
All‐solid‐state lithium batteries (ASSLBs) with conventional catholyte‐based composite cathodes have a theoretical energy density limit of approximately 400 Wh kg–1 and 900 Wh L–1. The design of catholyte‐free composite cathodes can break this barrier and improve the theoretical energy density up to 500 Wh kg–1 and 1000 Wh L–1. ABSTRACT The gravimetric

Substituent‐Dependent Structural Trends in Thermal Condensation of Silanetriols and Disiloxanetetraols

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We report a catalyst‐ and solvent‐free thermal condensation route to oligosilsesquioxanes from arylsilanetriols and disiloxanetetraols. Phenyl and 1‐naphthyl systems form ladder‐like structures, while 2‐naphthyl systems yields layered architectures.

Exploring the Boundaries of Aromaticity in Complex Structures and Excited States Through Computational Analysis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Understanding aromaticity has evolved from benzene‐centric concepts to a broad multidimensional framework spanning organic, inorganic, and excited‐state systems. This review highlights ambiguities between magnetic, electronic, geometric, and energetic descriptors, emphasizing the need for unified, multi‐criteria approaches.

Hydrometry, Hydration Status, and Performance

2017
Body water content, and its measurement, is important for several reasons. Body water content and hydration status affect all physiological functions, and if disturbances are sufficiently severe, both physical and cognitive functions are impaired. Equally, small fluctuations in body water content normally occur throughout the day with no perceptible ...
