Multi-criteria multi-stakeholder decision analysis using a fuzzy-stochastic approach for hydrosystem management [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, 2014
The conventional methods used to solve multi-criteria multi-stakeholder problems are less strongly formulated, as they normally incorporate only homogeneous information at a time and suggest aggregating objectives of different decision-makers avoiding ...

Sur quelques sources littorales et sous-marines autour de la Méditerranée

open access: yesPhysio-Géo, 2022
This study produces some informations and discussions, after numerous authors, on various fresh water ore brackish (almyros) karstic coastal springs, and submarine springs (vrulja), in their hydrogeological and geomorphological environment.

Transfer and degradation of polyacrylamide-based flocculants in hydrosystems: a review [PDF]

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Pollution Research, 2014
The aim of this review was to summarize information and scientific data from the literature dedicated to the fate of polyacrylamide (PAM)-based flocculants in hydrosystems. Flocculants, usually composed of PAMs, are widely used in several industrial fields, particularly in minerals extraction, to enhance solid/liquid separation in water containing ...

Genetic Diversity and Ecological Distribution of Bulinus Populations in Southern Benin Using PCR‐RFLP Analysis

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Schistosomiasis remains a major public health concern in Benin. Freshwater snails of the genus Bulinus serve as intermediate hosts for schistosomes, trematode parasites responsible for bilharzia. The urinary form, caused by Schistosoma haematobium, is the most prevalent and is primarily transmitted by Bulinus truncatus and Bulinus globosus, whereas the

Medium Term Hydroelectric Production Planning - A Multistage Stochastic Optimization Model [PDF]

open access: yesCivil Engineering Infrastructures Journal, 2014
Multistage stochastic programming is a key technology for making decisions over time in an uncertain environment. One of the promising areas in which this technology is implementable, is medium term planning of electricity production and trading where ...

Assessment of Spatial and Temporal Nitrate Dynamics in a Medium‐Sized Watershed Using SWAT‐RIVE

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 39, Issue 12, December 2025.
Nitrate dynamics in a catchment with multiple anthropogenic pressures were evaluated with SWAT‐RIVE. The results show that 54% of soil nitrate is removed by denitrification, mainly in agricultural areas and wetlands, 8.5% of nitrate inputs to soils reach the river system, and 1.7% is removed by in‐stream processes.

Development and Restoration Trajectory of a Low‐Energy River: The Case of the Vistre, a Coastal River in the South of France

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, Volume 41, Issue 10, Page 2107-2121, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The lack of attention paid to low‐energy watercourses, particularly at the academic level, complicates the design, implementation, and evaluation of their ecological restoration. This article examines the case of the Vistre, a river in southern France, and its rehabilitation, based mainly on remeandering.

Evaluation of the environmental implications of the incorporation of feed-use amino acids in the manufacturing of pig and broiler feeds using Life Cycle Assessment

open access: yesAnimal, 2011
The incorporation of feed-use (FU) amino acids (AAs) in diets results in a reduced use of protein-rich ingredients such as soybean meal, recognized to have elevated contributions to environmental impacts. This study investigated whether the incorporation
