Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Element Migration of Mineralization-Alteration Zones and Its Geological Implication in the Beiya Porphyry–Skarn Deposit, Northwestern Yunnan, China

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Porphyry and the associated skarn-type deposit is one of the most important types of ore deposits worldwide, which usually exhibit significant zoning of mineralization-alteration, but the research on element migration in these mineralization-alteration ...

Sulfur-poor intense acid hydrothermal alteration: A distinctive hydrothermal environment

open access: yesOre Geology Reviews, 2017
Abstract A fundamentally distinct, sulfide-poor variant of intense acid (advanced argillic) alteration occurs at the highest structural levels in iron oxide-rich hydrothermal systems. Understanding the mineralogy, and geochemical conditions of formation in these sulfide-poor mineral assemblages have both genetic and environmental implications.

Origins and significance of alteration textures in hydrovolcanic products from active volcanoes

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space
While mineralization processes in hydrothermal systems have been studied intensively from the viewpoint of economic geology, the composition, and textures of hydrothermally altered materials in hydrovolcanic ash have not been fully analyzed in active ...

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Application of Machine Learning Methods for Hydrothermal Alteration Zoning using Remote Sensing Data: a Case Study of the Koldar Massif [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
Hydrothermal alteration zones are among the key indicators in the exploration of porphyry copper deposits. In this study, a remote sensing-based approach was implemented to map hydrothermal alteration zones using ASTER satellite data and built-in ...
