Direct Electrochemical Regeneration of Lithium‐Ion Battery Cathode Material through Molecular Wiring

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 2026.
Spent lithium iron phosphate (LFP) is electrochemically recycled in a flow cell by redox mediation. The relithiation aqueous electrolyte is continuously regenerated, consuming only LiOH as the lithium source and producing O2 as sole waste. The direct recycling process is scalable, energy‐ and resource‐efficient, and allows the recovery of the structure

Variational Characteristics of Vegetation Recovery Period Under Extreme Drought Across Various Land Cover Types in Guizhou Province, China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
Assessing characteristics of drought over the last 20 years in Guizhou Province, China. Unraveling the dynamics of vegetation recovery period across various land cover types. Drought duration and severity determine vegetation recovery period. ABSTRACT Drought, a recurring climatic challenge characterized by water scarcity, significantly affects the ...

Patterns and Driving Mechanisms of β‐Diversity in Mountain Plant Communities of Arid Regions

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
We analyzed taxonomic and phylogenetic β‐diversity patterns in plant communities along the northern slope of the central Kunlun Mountains in arid northwestern China. Species turnover dominated β‐diversity, with climatic distance—particularly temperature—being key drivers.
