Overcoming challenges in the classification of deep geothermal potential [PDF]
The geothermal community lacks a universal definition of deep geothermal systems. A minimum depth of 400 m is often assumed, with a further sub-classification into middle-deep geothermal systems for reservoirs found between 400 and 1000 m.

State‐of‐the‐Art, Insights, and Perspectives for MOFs‐Nanocomposites and MOF‐Derived (Nano)Materials
Different approaches to MOF‐NP composite formation, such as ship‐in‐a‐bottle, bottle‐around‐the‐ship and in situ one‐step synthesis, are used. Owing to synergistic effects, the advantageous features of the components of the composites are beneficially combined, and their individual drawbacks are mitigated.

Idealised modelling of ocean circulation driven by conductive and hydrothermal fluxes at the seabed
Geothermal heating is increasingly recognised as an important factor affecting ocean circulation, with modelling studies suggesting that this heat source could lead to first-order changes in the formation rate of Antarctic Bottom Water, as well as a significant warming effect in the abyssal ocean.

Impact-generated hydrothermal circulation and metasomatism of the rochechouart astrobleme: mineralogy and major and trace element distribution [PDF]
The energy released during a hypervelocity impact on Earth can generate high temperatures in the target rock. There are currently 170 known impact structures worldwide, of which over one-third contain fossil hydrothermal systems [1].

Flash Joule heating enables the formation of quenched Cu oxide precatalysts with intragrain‐in‐grain architectures. These hierarchical structures are inherited after electroreduction, suppressing reconstruction even at high current densities in an MEA cell.

Recent Advances in Reactive Microdroplets for Clean Water and Energy
Reactive microdroplets enable precise and sustainable chemistry at small scales. This review explores their role as confined reactors and dynamic interfaces for synthesizing functional materials, fuels, and microdevices. It offers a critical perspective on how droplet‐based platforms can drive next‐generation technologies in clean energy, environmental

Does presence of a mid-ocean ridge enhance biomass and biodiversity? [PDF]
In contrast to generally sparse biological communities in open-ocean settings, seamounts and ridges are perceived as areas of elevated productivity and biodiversity capable of supporting commercial fisheries.

Anchoring Redox Mediator on COFs for Efficient Solar to Hydrogen Conversion
In this work, Fe ions are first fixed on COFs skeleton to construct a novel 2D Z‐scheme heterojunction (BWO/Fe/TP1C). The cycling of Fe3+/Fe2+ significantly improves the electron transfer rate. In addition, the construction of 2D Z‐scheme heterojunction not only promotes the separation of photogenerated carriers but also ensures its high redox activity.

Volcanism is the most widespread expression of cyclic processes of formation and/or destruction that shape the Earth’s surface. Calderas are morphological depressions resulting from the collapse of a magma chamber following large eruptions and are ...
