Metamorphic and metasomatic evolution of the Western Domain of the Karagwe-Ankole Belt (Central Africa) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The tectonometamorphic evolution of the Western Domain of the Karagwe-Ankole Belt, containing widespread granite-related W-Nb-Ta-Sn mineralization in pegmatites and hydrothermal quartz veins of Early Neoproterozoic age, is largely unknown.

Hydrothermal and Metasomatic Kaolin Resource Estimation in the Quang Ninh area, Northeastern Vietnam

open access: yesIraqi Geological Journal, 2021
In northeastern Vietnam, hydrothermal‐metasomatic kaolinite-pyrophyllite from the secondary quartzite origin has been found in many places, including Pin Ho, Ban Ngai, Khe Khoai, Pec Sec Leng, Tan Mai ore occurrences, etc. They are exploited together with pyrophyllite, alunite, and high‐alumina quartzite as a byproduct.

In situ ore formation experiment: Amino acids and amino sugars trapped in artificial chimneys on deep-sea hydrothermal systems at Suiyo Seamount, Izu-Bonin Arc, Pacific Ocean [PDF]

open access: yesPublished on Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 78, 638-651 (2005), 2013
The present study reports on the bio-organic composition of a deep-sea venting hydrothermal system originating from arc volcanism; the origin of the particulates in hydrothermal fluids from the Suiyo Seamount in the southern Izu-Bonin (Ogasawara) Arc is discussed with regard to amino compounds.

Evidence for an impact-induced biosphere from the δ34S signature of sulphides in the Rochechouart impact structure, France [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The highly eroded 23 km diameter Rochechouart impact structure, France, has extensive evidence for post-impact hydrothermal alteration and sulphide mineralization.

Hydrothermal alteration at the Panorama Formation, North Pole Dome, Pilbara Craton, Western Australia [PDF]

open access: yesPrecambrian Research (2006) 151, 211-223, 2014
An airborne hyperspectral remote sensing dataset was obtained of the North Pole Dome region of the Pilbara Craton in October 2002. It has been analyzed for indications of hydrothermal minerals. Here we report on the identification and mapping of hydrothermal minerals in the 3.459 Ga Panorama Formation and surrounding strata. The spatial distribution of

Biomimetic fabrication and tunable wetting properties of three-dimensional hierarchical ZnO structures by combining soft lithography templated with lotus leaf and hydrothermal treatments [PDF]

open access: yesCrystEngComm, 2013,, 2013
Three-dimensional hierarchical ZnO films with lotus-leaf-like micro/nano structures were successfully fabricated via a biomimetic route combining sol-gel technique, soft lithography and hydrothermal treatments. PDMS mold replicated from a fresh lotus leaf was used to imprint microscale pillar structures directly into a ZnO sol film.

Hydrothermal-metasomatic systems as the most important factor for the formation of elements of the oil and gas-bearing complex in the Bazhenov-Abalak sediments

open access: yesGeoresursy, 2021
A model of the activity of hydrothermal-metasomatic systems confined to certain structural elements is proposed in the present article. The model is based on the analysis of a large volume of traditional studies: measurements of porosity coefficients, permeability, pyrolytic measurements - together with specific measurements: isotopic composition of ...

Footprints of element mobility during metasomatism linked to a late Miocene peraluminous granite intruding a carbonate host (Campiglia Marittima, Tuscany) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The Campiglia Marittima magmatic-hydrothermal system includes a peraluminous granite, its carbonatic host, and skarn. The system evolved generating a time-transgressive exchange of major and trace elements between granite, metasomatic fluids, and host ...
