Near vein metasomatism along propylitic veins in the Baksa Gneiss Complex, Pannonian Basin, Hungary [PDF]
In many parts of the metapelitic (gneiss, mica schist) rock section of the Baksa Complex, significant wall-rock alteration is observable along the Ca-Al silicate veins, which show a di → ep ± czo →sp → ab ± kfs → chl → adu → prh → py → cal mineral ...

The effects of K-metasomatism in the Bahía Laura Volcanic Complex, Deseado Massif, Argentina: Petrologic and metallogenic consequences [PDF]
The Deseado Massif is a 60000km2 geological region located in southern Argentinean Patagonia. The most important geological feature of this area is an extensive plateau characterized by complex and long-lived Middle to Upper Jurassic volcanism, composed ...

Structural transition and superconductivity in hydrothermally synthesized FeX (X = S, Se) [PDF]
Tetragonal beta-FeSe obtained by hydrothermal reaction is not superconducting and transforms to a triclinic structure at 60 K unlike superconducting FeSe from solid state synthesis, which becomes orthorhombic at 90 K. In contrast, tetragonal iron sulphide FeS from hydrothermal synthesis is superconducting at 4.8 K but undergoes no structural transition.

Analytic expressions of hydrothermal waves [PDF]
When subjected to a horizontal temperature difference, a fluid layer with a free surface becomes unstable and hydrothermal waves develop in the bulk. Such a system is modelized by two coupled amplitude equations of the one-dimensional, complex, cubic Ginzburg-Landau type.

Origin of the high-temperature Olserum-Djupedal REE-phosphate mineralisation, SE Sweden : A unique contact metamorphic-hydrothermal system [PDF]
The Swedish part of the Fennoscandian Shield hosts a variety of rare earth element (REE) deposits, including magmatic to magmatic-hydrothermal types. This paper focuses on the origin of the Olserum-Djupedal REE-phosphate mineralisation located in the ...

Evidence for Localized High Temperature Hydrothermal Fluid Flow within the Sub-Crater Environment of the Rochechouart Impact Structure: Observations from a Polymict Breccia Dike [PDF]
Hypervelocity impacts into volatilebearing terrestrial targets can initiate hydrothermal circulation for a finite period of time; evidence for this is preserved in approximately one-third of impact structures on Earth [1, 2].

Bekki-Nozaki Amplitude Holes in Hydrothermal Nonlinear Waves [PDF]
We present and analyze experimental results on the dynamics of hydrothermal waves occuring in a laterally-heated fluid layer. We argue that the large-scale modulations of the waves are governed by a one-dimensional complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE).

Many tholeiite gabbro xenoliths from the Hyblean tuff-breccia deposits (Sicily, southern Italy) present mineralogical and geochemical evidence for hydrothermal alteration at different temperatures and water/ rock ratios. In some cases, the primary mineral assemblage has been entirely replaced by Na-rich alkali feldspar, chlorite/smectite interlayers ...

Genesis of primitive Hawaiian rejuvenated-stage lavas: Evidence for carbonatite metasomatism and implications for ancient eclogite source [PDF]
To constrain a contribution of deep carbonated mantle, to fractionation of Hf relative to rare earth elements (REE) in volcanic series, we examine available high-quality data on major, trace element and Nd-Hf isotope compositions of primitive lavas and glasses erupted during preshield, postshield and mostly rejuvenated stage of the Hawaiian hot spot ...
