A bundle method for hydrothermal scheduling
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 1999Lagrangian relaxation has been widely used in hydrothermal scheduling. Complicating constraints are relaxed by multipliers which are usually updated by a subgradient method (SGM). The SGM suffers from slow convergence caused by the nondifferentiable characteristics of dual functions.

Ultrasonic Transducer for the Hydrothermal Method
Journal of the Korean Physical Society, 2010Direct ultrasound irradiation is advantageous to increase the efficiency of the hydrothermal method which can be used for the production of piezoelectric thin films and lead free piezoelectric ceramics. To apply ultrasound directly to the process transducer prototypes were developed regarding the boundary conditions of the hydrothermal method.

Synthesis of stilbite by the hydrothermal method
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1998The effect of temperature on stilbite synthesis was investigated systematically in the temperature range 80-C by hydrothermal treatment of artificial glasses of the same composition (1O-8CaO-9O) at 1 kbar O pressure. The zeolite was always formed with monoclinic symmetry (, a = 13.61 A, b = 18.24 A, c = 11.27 A and ; or , a = 13.61 A, b = 18.24 A, c ...

Zirconia Coating of Carbon Nanotubes by a Hydrothermal Method
Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2008Carbon nanotubes have unique mechanical properties that open attractive possibilities in many fields, such as the biomedical one. Currently, zirconia ceramics are widely used as femoral heads, but case studies show that delayed failure can occur in vivo due to crack propagation.

Silver Telluride Nanotubes Prepared by the Hydrothermal Method
Inorganic Chemistry, 2007Silver telluride nanotubes have been prepared by the hydrothermal process without a template or a surfactant. The as-prepared sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectra, and Raman spectra. The structural phase transition of the sample was observed.

A hydrothermal hot-pressing method: Apparatus and application
Journal of Materials Science Letters, 1986Loose particles occurring in sediment are transformed into sedimentary rock by a process termed lithification, which is a chemical process that reduces the original porosity by compaction and cementation [1]. A hydrothermal hot-pressing method is intended for artificial lithification.

Methods for the study of hydrothermal crystallization
Physics and Chemistry of the Earth, 1981Abstract Starting from the well established temperature drop method, recent developments concerning apparatus are discussed, followed by a section on the handling of corrosive media. For the observation of hydrothermal crystal growth, visual autoclaving, a balance design, etc., have been proposed.

CuS nanostructures prepared by a hydrothermal method
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2011Abstract Without using any surfactant or template, novel CuS three-dimensional (3D) structures consisting of nanosheets were successfully synthesized via a convenient one-step hydrothermal approach. X-ray diffraction pattern showed that the as-prepared product was pure hexagonal phase CuS. Scanning electron microscopy and high-resolution transmission

PLZT film actuators deposited by a hydrothermal method
2010 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics, 2010Optical actuators are effective for a miniaturization of micro devices because those actuators can be driven by non-contact energy supply. PLZT is a ferroelectric material which has a photostrictive effect. In this study, a PLZT polycrystalline film has been deposited on a titanium substrate by using a hydrothermal method.
