Synthesis of titanate nanostructures using amorphous precursor material and their adsorption/photocatalytic properties

open access: yes, 2012
This paper reports on a new and swift hydrothermal chemical route to prepare titanate nanostructures (TNS) avoiding the use of crystalline TiO2 as starting material. The synthesis approach uses a commercial solution of TiCl3 as titanium source to prepare

Preparation of MOF-based Nitrogen Self-Doped Porous Carbon and Its Electrochemical Properties

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2021
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are widely used as precursors to prepare porous carbon materials due to their highly ordered porous structure and large specific surface area. In this paper, a metal-organic framework {[Zn(1,4-BDC)0.5(3-NH2-trz)]·(solvent)]

Zeolite P from kaolin via hydrothermal method [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2018
Zeolite P has been successfully synthesized from natural kaolin via two step hydrothermal process. The natural kaolin from Lampang, Thailand was studied for this research. In first hydrothermal, kaolin was mixed with sodium hydroxide solution at 200 oC for different reaction times from 3 – 5 hours, respectively .Sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid ...

Spatially-constrained clustering of ecological networks

open access: yes, 2014
Spatial ecological networks are widely used to model interactions between georeferenced biological entities (e.g., populations or communities). The analysis of such data often leads to a two-step approach where groups containing similar biological ...

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.
