Muon imaging of hydrotreatment reactors
This study presents the design and simulation-based validation of a muon imaging system tailored for potential applications in industrial hydrotreatment units. The system is built around a two-panel plastic scintillator hodoscope, equipped with silicon photomultipliers and readout via a CAEN FERS-A5202 acquisition system.

Pollutants Transformation During the Regeneration Process of Fluid Catalytic Cracking Catalysts
Fluid catalytic cracking is the main pollutant source in crude oil refineries due to spent catalyst regeneration. In this work, flue gas pollutants are monitored and coke deposits are identified. Operando and in situ spectroscopy are developed to explore coke species evolution, coupled with online gas infrared spectroscopy to detect pollutant formation.
