A Proton Wire Mediates Proton Coupled Electron Transfer from Hydroxyurea and Other Hydroxamic Acids to Tyrosyl Radical in Class Ia Ribonucleotide Reductase.

open access: yesJournal of Physical Chemistry B, 2020
Proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) is fundamental to many important biological reactions, including solar energy conversion and DNA synthesis. For example, class Ia ribonucleotide reductases (RNRs) contain a tyrosyl radical-diiron cofactor with one ...

Enzymatic Synthesis of Fatty Hydroxamic Acid Derivatives Based on Palm Kernel Oil

open access: yesMolecules, 2011
Fatty hydroxamic acid derivatives were synthesized using Lipozyme TL IM catalyst at biphasic medium as the palm kernel oil was dissolved in hexane and hydroxylamine derivatives were dissolved in water: (1) N-methyl fatty hydroxamic acids (MFHAs); (2) N ...

Crystal Structures of a Series of Hydroxamic Acids

open access: yesMolbank, 2023
The structure of four hydroxamic acids (HA) that show antifungal activities in complexes with several metals is revealed by single crystal diffraction. The structures of HA with C2, C6, C10, and C12 hydrocarbon chains are reported. The smallest member of

Diorganotin(IV) complexes with hydroxamic acids derivatives of some histone deacetylases inhibitors [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2023
Organotin(IV) compounds show great potential as antitumor metallodrugs with lower toxicity and higher antiproliferative activity. Histone deacetylases (HDAC) inhibitors are characterised by high bioavailability and low toxicity. In this research, the two

Flotation and adsorption of novel Gemini decyl-bishydroxamic acid on bastnaesite: Experiments and density functional theory calculations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology, 2023
Rare earth element is an important strategic metal, but the supply of high purity rare earth ores is growing slowly, which is in sharp contradiction with the rapidly growing demand. Froth flotation has been confirmed to be an effective method to separate

Some cyclic hydroxamic acids

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1964
Abstract The preparation of certain quinolines, quinazolines, quinoxalines, benzoxazines and benzothiazines containing the cyclic hydroxamic grouping is described. In vitro antibacterial activities showed that no compound had a broader spectrum of activity than the known 1,2-dihydro-1-hydroxy-2-oxoquinoline.
