Thermokinetic studies of polyurethanes based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene prepolymer

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2017
Three different polyurethane compositions were prepared based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) prepolymer with different curative types. The employed curatives were hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI), isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and dicyclohexylmethane-4,4'-diisocyanate.

The effect of pressure on the mechanical properties of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene-based propellants

Journal of Molecular Modeling
In order to estimate the mechanical behavior of the propellant under working pressures, the effect of pressure on the mechanical properties of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) propellants was studied by analyzing the uniaxial tensile strength and maximum strain master curves under the test conditions of - 20 ~ 70 °C, 0.5 mm/min ~ 500 mm/min ...

Characterization of uncured and cured hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene prepolymer

2020
ABSTRACT Hydroxyl terminated polybutadienes < HTPB) are being used for the production of composite solid propel lants. Liquid hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene can be crossl inked with chain extension by the reaction of the terminal hydroxyl groups with the diisocyanate groups of isophorone diisocyanate < IPDI) and yield polyurethanes.
