Thermo‐Mechanical Evaluation of Novel Composite Propellant Formulations Based on Styrene‐Ethylene/Butylene‐Styrene Block Copolymer

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Volume 50, Issue 11-12, Page 117-126, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Two novel composite propellant formulations have previously been produced from a binder consisting of the thermoplastic elastomer styrene‐ethylene/butylene‐styrene (SEBS) and a solid filler, either ammonium perchlorate (AP) or 1,3,5‐trinitro‐1,3,5‐triazinane (RDX).

Effect of hard segment content on the phase separation and properties of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene thermoplastic polyurethane

open access: yesPolymer Testing
Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) possesses a distinctive microphase separation structure resulting from the thermodynamic incompatibility between its soft and hard segments.

Sustainable Synthesis of Polyurethane Using Hydroxyl‐Terminated Polybutadiene (HTPB) Derived From the Degradation of Butadiene Rubber with Fatty Alcohol

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 11, November 2025.
This study proposes a synthesis route for polyurethanes (PUs) derived from bio‐based polyols. The polyols were obtained through metathesis depolymerization of butadiene rubber using fatty alcohol (a castor oil derivative) as a chain transfer agent to produce hydroxyl‐terminated polybutadiene (HTPB).

Degradation strategies for structural characterization of insoluble synthetic polymers by mass spectrometry

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 6, Page 989-1012, November/December 2025.
Abstract With the advent of soft ionization techniques such as electrospray (ESI) and matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) to produce intact gas‐phase ions from nonvolatile macromolecules, mass spectrometry has become an essential technique in the field of polymeric materials.
