Electrical methods of hygrometry
Proceedings of the Physical Society, 1927An account is given of experiments performed to investigate the possibility of applying electrical methods to the measurement of humidity. Two methods are considered, depending on (1) the change in resistance of organic materials (cotton-wool and human hair) on exposure to water vapour; (2) the change in mobility of ions due to water vapour.

Der Begriff der Temperatur leitet sich aus einer Sinneswahrnehmung ab. Er unterscheidet Zustande, die wir als warm oder kalt bezeichnen. Die physikalische Deutung des Temperaturbegriffes folgt aus folgenden Eigenschaften der Materie : In allen Stoffen (Gasen, Flussigkeiten und festen Korpern) befinden sich die Molekule im Zustand der Bewegung.
