Roadmap to Precision 3D Printing of Cellulose: Rheology‐Guided Formulation, Fidelity Assessment, and Application Horizons

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This critical review presents a comprehensive roadmap for the precision 3D printing of cellulose. Quantitative correlations link ink formulation and rheological properties to print fidelity and final material performance. This framework guides the development of advanced functional materials, from biomedical scaffolds to electromagnetic shielding ...

Effect of spray volume on the moisture of stored corn and wheat grains

open access: yesBrazilian Archives of Biology and Technology, 2008
The goal of this work was to evaluate the effect of spray volume on the moisture of the stored grains of the corn and wheat. Two kg of each type of the grain were placed into the plastic bags and sprayed with the theoretical doses of 0, 1, 3, 5, 8, and ...

Cloud condensation nuclei activity, closure, and droplet growth kinetics of Houston aerosol during the Gulf of Mexico Atmospheric Composition and Climate Study (GoMACCS) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In situ cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) measurements were obtained in the boundary layer over Houston, Texas, during the 2006 Gulf of Mexico Atmospheric Composition and Climate Study (GoMACCS) campaign onboard the CIRPAS Twin Otter.

Amido‐Amine Co(II) Precursor‐Based Atomic/Molecular Layer Deposition Processes for Cobalt‐Organic Thin Films and Their Thermal Conversion to CoO Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Three new atomic/molecular layer deposition processes are developed for Co‐organic thin films using a promising all‐nitrogen‐coordinated cobalt precursor. The study examines film growth, reaction mechanisms, chemical stability, and decomposition pathways of the resulting films through extensive characterization techniques and DFT calculations ...

THERMODYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF WHEAT GLUTEN ON THE BASIS OF ITS HYGROSCOPIC PROPERTIES

open access: yesСовременная наука и инновации, 2022
For wet thermolabile materials, which include wheat gluten, the static balance between the product and the environment, occurs under the condition that the state of the "wet body - gas" does not change over time under the influence of various internal ...

On the hygroscopic growth of ammoniated sulfate particles of non-stoichiometric composition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
International audienceThe hygroscopic growth of ammoniated sulfate particles was studied by measurements and model calculations for particles with varying ammonium-to-sulfate ratio. In the measurements, the ammonium-to-sulfate ratio was adjusted by using

Hyperelastic Starch Hydrogel Configures Edible and Biodegradable All‐Components for Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperelastic starch hydrogel is tailored via a phase separation strategy of solvent‐antisolvent co‐modulation. The mechanical performance of starch hydrogel is widely tuned with maximum strains: 194.4–361.4%; maximum tensile stresses: 34–192 kPa; and Young's moduli: 36.0–205.8 kPa. Notably, the hydrogel achieves complete soil degradation within 24 days

3D Experimental investigation of the hygro-mechanical behaviour of wood at cellular and sub-cellular scale: detection of local deformations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The swelling/shrinkage of spruce wood samples (Picea Abies) is documented with high resolution XRay Tomography and advanced image analysis tools. We report the reversible moisture-induced global and local deformations at the cellular and sub-cellular ...

The Role of Ionic Liquids at the Biological Interfaces in Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ionic liquids (ILs) are highlighted as key artificial ionic materials that bridge biological ion‐based signaling and electronic devices. By understanding their composition, structure, function relationships, and mechanisms, ILs can advance from high performance electrolyte to core materials enabling integrated, multifunctional bioelectronics for ...
