Associating cognitive abilities with naturalistic search behavior

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Volume 76, Issue 4, Page 665-685, April 2025.
Abstract Differences in cognitive abilities affect search behaviors, but this has mostly been observed in laboratory experiments. There is limited research on how users search for information in real‐world, naturalistic settings and how real‐world search behaviors relate to cognitive abilities.

Biomanufacturing of L‐Lactic Acid from Inulin Exploiting Kluyveromyces marxianus and Engineered Saccharomyces cerevisiae Cell Factories

open access: yesBiotechnology and Applied Biochemistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The transition to sustainable lactic acid (LA) biomanufacturing necessitates a shift from first‐generation feedstocks toward residual biomass and low‐pH fermentation, eliminating the costly, waste‐intensive salt purification and acidification steps. This study presents a novel, two‐yeast strategy designed to valorize inulin, a fructose polymer

The mycelium of student experiences: Capturing the relational network of transitions as becoming

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract While university student transitions are often framed as processes of becoming, this perspective does not fully capture the multifaceted nature of student transitions. Even approaches that acknowledge the heterogeneity of student experiences and adopt a rhizomatic perspective tend to imply individual autonomy rather than reflect the hyper ...
