Mathematical and numerical study on the parametric sensitivity of a structural dynamic hyper-reduction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the Hyper-reduction technique [1], in the framework of parametric structural dynamic problems. Efficient parametric models in hyper-reduction of structural design allow to act towards real time computations. The reduced coordinates are solutions of equations restricted to a subdomain, named the reduced integration domain (RID).

Hyper-Kamiokande physics opportunities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We propose the Hyper-Kamiokande (Hyper-K) detector as a next generation un- derground water Cherenkov detector. It will serve as a far detector of a long base- line neutrino oscillation experiment envisioned for the upgraded J-PARC beam, and as a ...

Hyper-reduction for Petrov–Galerkin reduced order models

open access: yesComputer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2023
Projection-based Reduced Order Models minimize the discrete residual of a "full order model" (FOM) while constraining the unknowns to a reduced dimension space. For problems with symmetric positive definite (SPD) Jacobians, this is optimally achieved by projecting the full order residual onto the approximation basis (Galerkin Projection).

Hyper-reduction framework for model calibration in plasticity-induced fatigue [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Modeling and Simulation in Engineering Sciences, 2016
Many mechanical experiments in plasticity-induced fatigue are prepared by the recourse to finite element simulations. Usual simulation outputs, like local stress estimations or lifetime predictions, are useful to choose boundary conditions and the shape of a specimen. In practice, many other numerical data are also generated by these simulations.

A priori hyper-reduction method for coupled viscoelastic–viscoplastic composites [PDF]

open access: yesComputers & Structures, 2013
In this paper, a mean field homogenization (MFH) method is compared to the hyper-reduction (HR) method. The homogenization of concern aims to forecast the mechanical response of viscoelastic-viscoplastic composites undergoing small strains. Reference results are provided by the usual finite element method (FEM) applied to an unit cell problem.

Hyper-Minimization for Deterministic Weighted Tree Automata [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2014
Hyper-minimization is a state reduction technique that allows a finite change in the semantics. The theory for hyper-minimization of deterministic weighted tree automata is provided.

Hyper-programming in Java [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Hyper-programming is a technology only available in persistent systems since hyper-program source contains both text and links to persistent objects. A hyper-programming system has already been prototyped in the persistent programming language Napier88 ...

A review of dimensionality reduction techniques for processing hyper-spectral optical signal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Hyper-spectral sensors take measurements in the narrow contiguous bands across the electromagnetic spectrum. Usually, the goal is to detect a certain object or a component of the medium with unique spectral signatures.

A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY EVALUATION OF DIAGNOSTIC IMPLICATIONS OF PLATELET INDICES IN THROMBOCYTOPENIA.

open access: yesStudent's Journal of Health Research Africa, 2023
Introduction: Thrombocytopenia (TCP) refers to a reduction of platelet count below 150 x 109/ L; it’s not a disease entity by itself, but a finding that may result from a number of disease processes.
