Non-Uniformly Hyperbolic Diffeomorphisms Derived from the Standard Map [PDF]
We prove that the system resulting of coupling the standard map with a fast hyperbolic system is robustly non-uniformly hyperbolic.

Hyperbolic derivatives and generalized Schwarz-Pick estimates [PDF]
In this paper, by using a formula of Faà di Bruno for the \(n\)th derivative of composition of two functions, the authors obtain the following generalized Schwarz-Pick estimate: for each positive integer \(n\) and each number ...

On the propagation of jump discontinuities in relativistic cosmology [PDF]
A recent dynamical formulation at derivative level $\ptl^{3}g$ for fluid spacetime geometries $({\cal M}, {\bf g}, {\bf u})$, that employs the concept of evolution systems in first-order symmetric hyperbolic format, implies the existence in the Weyl ...

RIGOROUS DERIVATION OF A HYPERBOLIC MODEL FOR TAYLOR DISPERSION [PDF]
In this paper, we upscale the classical convection-diffusion equation in a narrow slit. We suppose that the transport parameters are such that we are in Taylor's regime, i.e. we deal with dominant Péclet numbers. In contrast to the classical work of Taylor, we undertake a rigorous derivation of the upscaled hyperbolic dispersion equation.

Repeated Derivatives of Hyperbolic Trigonometric Functions and Associated Polynomials [PDF]
Elementary problems as the evaluation of repeated derivatives of ordinary transcendent functions can usefully be treated with the use of special polynomials and of a formalism borrowed from combinatorial analysis. Motivated by previous researches in this field, we review the results obtained by other authors and develop a complementary point of view ...

Hyperbolic Programs, and Their Derivative Relaxations [PDF]
We study the algebraic and facial structures of hyperbolic programs, and examine natural relaxations of hyperbolic programs, the relaxations themselves being hyperbolic programs.

Fractional-stochastic shallow water equations and its analytical solutions
In this paper, the stochastic shallow water wave equation with M-Truncated derivative is taken into account. New rational, trigonometric and hyperbolic solutions are produced using the He’s semi-inverse method and modified extended tanh-function method ...
