Derivatives of Univalent Functions and the Hyperbolic Metric
Let \(f\) be an analytic and univalent function on a simply connected domain \(D\) (which is not the whole plane \(\mathbb{C}\)), and let \(\lambda_D\) be the hyperbolic metric on \(D\). In this paper, the sharp estimate: \[ |f^{(n)}(w)/ f'(w)|\leq n! 4^{n-1} \lambda_D(w)^{n- 1},\quad w\in D, \] is proved.

Hyperbolic Perturbation Problems Involving Time Derivatives on the Boundary
The paper presents the analysis of the asymptotic behavior of a hyperbolic transmission problem in a fixed domain surrounded by a layer whose thickness \(\delta\) goes to zero and where the coefficients \(\rho\) and \(\sigma\) of the second and first derivative, respectively, go to infinity. All the possible cases according to the limits \(\alpha\) and

First hyperbolic times for intermittent maps with unbounded derivative [PDF]
We establish some statistical properties of the hyperbolic times for a class of nonuniformly expanding dynamical systems. The maps arise as factors of area preserving maps of the unit square via a geometric Baker's map type construction, exhibit intermittent dynamics, and have unbounded derivatives. The geometric approach captures various examples from

Location‐Specific Hematoma Volume Predicts Early Neurological Deterioration in Supratentorial ICH
ABSTRACT Objective Early neurological deterioration (END) adversely affects outcomes in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This study aimed to determine the location‐specific hematoma volumes for END in supratentorial ICH patients. Methods We retrospectively analyzed supratentorial ICH patients presenting from two prospective cohorts.

A variety of soliton solutions for the fractional Wazwaz-Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equations
In the present paper, the new three-dimensional modified Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equations recently introduced are analyzed with the introduction of the spatial and temporal fractional order derivatives using conformable fractional derivative.

Einstein and Yang-Mills theories in hyperbolic form without gauge-fixing
The evolution of physical and gauge degrees of freedom in the Einstein and Yang-Mills theories are separated in a gauge-invariant manner. We show that the equations of motion of these theories can always be written in flux-conservative first-order ...

Impact of Positive Lifestyle Behaviors on Direct Health Care Cost Savings for Low Back Pain
Objective This study aimed to investigate the relationship between a previously purpose‐developed lifestyle behavior scale and health care cost savings related to low back pain (LBP). Methods This longitudinal study used data from the Australian Twin Back (AUTBACK) study. LBP and lifestyle behavior measures were collected at baseline. Physical activity

Hyperbolic-parabolic singular perturbation for Kirchhoff equations with weak dissipation [PDF]
We consider Kirchhoff equations with a small parameter epsilon in front of the second-order time-derivative, and a dissipative term whose coefficient may tend to 0 as t -> + infinity (weak dissipation).

Objective Body mass index (BMI), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and pretreatment urate levels have been reported to influence the urate‐lowering response to allopurinol. We investigated whether the fractional excretion of uric acid (FEUA) also modulates this response and relates to oxypurinol concentrations.

Objective Knee osteoarthritis (OA) commonly affects individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and is associated with increased risk of diabetes‐related complications. To better understand potential mechanisms, we examined the association between symptomatic knee OA and glycemic control in individuals with T2DM.
