Asset Prices and Hyperbolic Discounting [PDF]
This paper explores the implications of hyperbolic discounting for asset prices and rates of return. Hyperbolic discounting has no effect on the equity premium. However, by making people less patient, causes stock prices to be lower, and interest rates higher, than with exponential discounting.

Hyperbolic discounting and fertility
Journal of Population Economics, 2009This paper analyzes the impact of hyperbolic discounting on the timing and on the number of births. Using a simple three-period model, it shows that, without the opportunity to shift the burden of rearing children into the future, hyperbolic discounters will give birth to fewer children.
