A Theorem of Ahlfors for Hyperbolic Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1978
L. Ahlfors has proved that if the Dirichlet fundamental polyhedron of a Kleinian group G in the unit ball B ...

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

LEAD: Literature Enhanced Ab Initio Discovery of Nitride Dusting Layers for Enhanced Tunnel Magnetoresistance and Lower Resistance Magnetic Tunnel Junctions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

Toward a Unified Mechanistic Understanding of Polymer Electrolytes for Advanced Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes (PEs) are often indiscriminately grouped as “solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs)”, despite fundamental differences in their ion‐transport mechanisms. This Perspective establishes a mechanism‐based framework that distinguishes gel, quasi‐solid, and all‐solid polymer electrolytes based on their dominant ion‐transport pathways.

Hyperbolic vacua in Minkowski space

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Families of Lorentz, but not Poincare, invariant vacua are constructed for a massless scalar field in 4D Minkowski space. These are generalizations of the Rindler vacuum with a larger symmetry group. Explicit expressions are given as squeezed excitations

Electrical Resistivity Change Upon Crystallization as a Robust Descriptor for Metallic Glass Forming Ability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Electrical resistivity change upon annealing is introduced as a rapid descriptor for identifying high glass‐forming ability in metallic glasses. High‐throughput combinatorial thin‐film libraries reveal that compositions exhibiting small resistivity changes correspond to sluggish crystallization behavior and known bulk metallic glass regions, enabling ...

Composition operators from Zygmund spaces into Besov Zygmund-type spaces‎ [PDF]

open access: yesAUT Journal of Mathematics and Computing
‎In this paper first‎, ‎the boundedness and compactness of a composition operator from Zygmund space to Besov Zygmund-type space are studied‎. ‎Then we study this concepts for this operator by using the hyperbolic-type analytic Besov Zygmund-type class‎.

Convexity on Complex Hyperbolic Space

open access: yes, 2010
In a Riemannian manifold a regular convex domain is said to be $λ$-convex if its normal curvature at each point is greater than or equal to $λ$. In a Hadamard manifold, the asymptotic behaviour of the quotient $\vol(Ω(t))/\vol(\partialΩ(t))$ for a family of $λ$-convex domains $Ω(t)$ expanding over the whole space has been studied and general bounds for
