A generalized chaotic neural network model for epilepsy using Soboleva hyperbolic tangent functions [PDF]

open access: yes
This work studies a generalized version of a chaotic neural network model for epilepsy. The model consists of several activation functions that are coupled to simulate the neuronal stimulation.

The Two Extremal Rays of Some Hyper–Kähler Fourfolds

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We consider projective Hyper–Kähler manifolds of dimension 4 that are deformation equivalent to Hilbert squares of K3 surfaces. In case such a manifold admits a divisorial contraction, the exceptional divisor is a conic bundle over a K3 surface. A classification of lattice embeddings implies that there are five types of such conic bundles.

Visibility and Intersection Density for Boolean Models in Hyperbolic Space

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT For Poisson particle processes in hyperbolic space we introduce and study concepts analogous to the intersection density and the mean visible volume, which were originally considered in the analysis of Boolean models in Euclidean space. In particular, we determine a necessary and sufficient condition for the finiteness of the mean visible ...

Sundman‐Like Transformations and the NRT Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We present a new generalization of the well‐known power‐type Sundman transformation, involving not only powers of the function but also of its derivative, along with its inverse. Our aim is to explore the use of such transformations in the derivation of solutions of ordinary differential equations and in the study of their properties.

Kernel Adaptive Filtering Algorithm Based on Hyperbolic Tangent Mixed Error Function [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes an adaptive filtering algorithm based on the symmetry Kernel Hyperbolic Tangent Mixed Error Criterion (KHTMC), aimed at addressing the identification of nonlinear systems under non-Gaussian noise environments.

Exploring the Strengths and Limitations of Polymer Chemistry Informed Neural Networks

open access: yesMacromolecular Reaction Engineering, EarlyView.
PCINNs are able to reach high levels of predictive performance utilizing imperfect kinetic models and a relatively small dataset, with reliable extrapolation at reaction temperatures significantly beyond the range of the original dataset. ABSTRACT Kinetic models are essential tools for providing a fundamental understanding of polymerization processes ...

Nordgren PINNs to VQE: Advancing Hydraulic Fracturing Simulations in Shale Reservoirs

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study advances hydraulic fracturing simulations in shale reservoirs using two computational paradigms, Physics‐Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) and the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE). PINNs were employed to solve Nordgren's equation, which governs fracture width evolution, by embedding physical laws into the neural network ...

Multivariate Perturbed Hyperbolic Tangent-Activated Singular Integral Approximation [PDF]

open access: yes
Here we study the quantitative multivariate approximation of perturbed hyperbolic tangent-activated singular integral operators to the unit operator. The engaged neural network activation function is both parametrized and deformed, and the related kernel
