A HYPERBOLIC TANGENT YIELD FUNCTION OF FLORIDA CITRUS

2007
This study models Florida citrus production as a function of the age profile of a given tree stock. The age relationship is estimated using a modified hyperbolic tangent function and the parameters is solved by Spatial Process Models and Maximum Likelihood approach.

Outlier Detection using Weighted Holoentropy with Hyperbolic Tangent Function

International Journal of Data Analysis Techniques and Strategies, 2018
Numerous research works has been carried out in the literature to detect the outlier's a.k.a anomalies. Outlier detection is considered as a pre-processing step for locating those objects in a dataset that do not conform to well-defined notions of expected behaviour.

Sparse signal reconstruction via recurrent neural networks with hyperbolic tangent function

Neural Networks, 2022
In this paper, several recurrent neural networks (RNNs) for solving the L1-minimization problem are proposed. First, a one-layer RNN based on the hyperbolic tangent function and the projection matrix is designed. In addition, the stability and global convergence of the previously presented RNN are proved by the Lyapunov method.

Hyperbolic-tangent-function-based cyclic correlation: Definition and theory

Signal Processing, 2019
Abstract Non-stationary, non-Gaussian signal processing is a challenging topic in signal processing research. Over the past decade, due to effectively addressing co-channel interference, cyclostationarity-based methodologies have found a wide range of applications, such as wireless communication, cognitive radio, and mechanical vibration monitoring ...

Hyperbolic tangent activation function integrated circuit implementation for perceptrons

2012 IEEE Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD), 2012
Activation function refers to the mathematical function implemented in multilayer perceptrons to limit the output signal of neurons. The objective of this project is to design a hyperbolic tangent activation function (TANH) for integrated circuit implementation using digital design approach. This paper compares the performances of area, speed and power

Hyperbolic tangent function based two layers structure neural network

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronics and Optoelectronics, 2011
The objective of image compression is to reduce irrelevance and redundancy of the image data in order to be able to store or transmit data in an efficient form. The best image quality at a given compression rate is the main goal of image compression. In this paper, we present a hyperbolic tangent function based back propagation network to improve the ...

Hyperbolic tangent function weighted optimal intercept angle guidance law

Aerospace Science and Technology, 2018
Abstract In this paper, a new optimal guidance law with terminal constraints on miss distance and intercept angle is proposed for a missile with time-varying velocity against a maneuvering target. The proposed optimal guidance law is obtained by solving a linear quadratic optimal control problem.

Efficient hardware implementation of the hyperbolic tangent sigmoid function

2009 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2009
Efficient implementation of the activation function is important in the hardware design of artificial neural networks. Sigmoid, and hyperbolic tangent sigmoid functions are the most widely used activation functions for this purpose. In this paper, we present a simple and efficient architecture for digital hardware implementation of the hyperbolic ...

Q-deformed and λ-parametrized hyperbolic tangent function

2023
Here we study the multivariate quantitative approximation of complex valued continuous functions on a box of RN , N ∈ N, by the multivariate normalized type neural network operators. We investigate also the case of approximation by iterated multilayer neural network operators.

Using Hyperbolic Tangent Function for Nonlinear Profile Monitoring

2013
For most of the Statistical process control (SPC) applications, the quality of a process or product is measured by one or multiple quality characteristics. In some particular circumstances, quality characteristics depend on the relationship between the response variable and one and/or explanatory variables.
