To address multidrug‐resistant urinary tract infections (MDR‐UTIs), we developed Cu‐ZIF8‐Ru nanozyme featuring an asymmetric Cu─N─Ru catalytic site. This unique structure enhances multienzyme‐mimetic activity, eradicating resistant bacteria by inducing a cuproptosis‐like death pathway through intracellular Cu2+ accumulation and energy depletion.

Near-infrared spectroscopy study of tourniquet-induced forearm ischaemia in patients with coronary artery disease [PDF]
Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) can be employed to monitor local changes in haemodynamics and oxygenation of human tissues. A preliminary study has been performed in order to evaluate the NIRS transmittance response to induced forearm ischaemia in ...

Worsening of cerebral hyperemia by the administration of terlipressin in acute liver failure with severe hepatic encephalopathy [PDF]
There is increasing evidence that terlipressin is useful in patients with cirrhosis and hepatorenal syndrome, but there are no data of its use in patients with acute liver failure (ALF) in whom hepatorenal syndrome is common.

Hybrid Equation/Agent-Based Model of Ischemia-Induced Hyperemia and Pressure Ulcer Formation Predicts Greater Propensity to Ulcerate in Subjects with Spinal Cord Injury [PDF]
Pressure ulcers are costly and life-threatening complications for people with spinal cord injury (SCI). People with SCI also exhibit differential blood flow properties in non-ulcerated skin.

Reactive hyperemia increases forearm vein area [PDF]
To determine the effect of reactive hyperemia on human forearm vein area. After obtaining ethics approval and informed consent, an automatic tourniquet was applied to the forearms of 20 healthy subjects for one, two, and three minutes, at pressures of 25 mmHg, 200 mmHg, then 25 mmHg.
