On Some Unifications Arising from the MIMO Rician Shadowed Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper shows that the proposed Rician shadowed model for multi-antenna communications allows for the unification of a wide set of models, both for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and single- input single-output (SISO) communications.

Generalized heterogeneous hypergeometric functions and the distribution of the largest eigenvalue of an elliptical Wishart matrix [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
In this study, we derive the exact distributions of eigenvalues of a singular Wishart matrix under an elliptical model. We define generalized heterogeneous hypergeometric functions with two matrix arguments and provide convergence conditions for these functions.

Gevrey expansions of hypergeometric integrals II

open access: yes, 2019
We study integral representations of the Gevrey series solutions of irregular hypergeometric systems under certain assumptions. We prove that, for such systems, any Gevrey series solution, along a coordinate hyperplane of its singular support, is the ...

Combinatorial identities and hypergeometric series [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
This paper describes a method to find a connection between combinatorial identities and hypergeometric series with a number of examples. Combinatorial identities can often be written as hypergeometric series with unit argument. In a number of cases these hypergeometric series are balanced and can be reduced to a simpler form.

A Reflection Formula for the Gaussian Hypergeometric Function of Matrix Argument [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Volume 531, Issue 2, Part 2, 15 March 2024, 127862, 2020
We obtain a reflection formula for the Gaussian hypergeometric function of real symmetric matrix argument. We also show that this result extends to the Gaussian hypergeometric function defined over the symmetric cones, and even to generalizations of the Gaussian hypergeometric function defined in terms of series of Jack polynomials.

Retrotransposon Expression Is Upregulated in Adulthood and Suppressed during Regeneration of the Limb in the Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum)

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The axolotl's remarkable regenerative abilities decline with age, the causes may include the numerous repetitive elements within its genome. This study uncovers how Ty3 retrotransposons and coexpression networks involving muscle and immune pathways respond to aging and regeneration, suggesting that transposons respond to physiological shifts and may ...

The Laguerre process and generalized Hartman--Watson law

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper, we study complex Wishart processes or the so-called Laguerre processes $(X_t)_{t\geq0}$. We are interested in the behaviour of the eigenvalue process; we derive some useful stochastic differential equations and compute both the ...

Stimulated Raman Scattering with Optical Vortex Beams

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This study presents exact analytical expressions for stimulated Raman scattering with Laguerre‐Gaussian beams, revealing signal dependence on topological and hyperbolic momentum. The results provide a theoretical foundation for coherent Raman imaging and detecting orbital angular momentum of light via structured light in nonlinear optics.

Multivariate hypergeometric functions as tau functions of Toda lattice and Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation

open access: yes, 2000
We present the q-deformed multivariate hypergeometric functions related to Schur polynomials as tau-functions of the KP and of the two-dimensional Toda lattice hierarchies.

IncRNA‐ZFAS1, an Emerging Gate‐Keeper in DNA Damage‐Dependent Transcriptional Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LncZFAS1 plays a crucial role during DNA damage response in mammalian cells. Loss of lncZFAS1 results in deficient DNA lesion removal and reduced cell viability. Mechanistically, lncZFAS1 modulates RNAPII phosphorylation and transcription and thereby promotes both GG‐NER and TC‐NER upon UV damage.
