Pseudo-Primary, Classical Prime and Pseudo-Classical Primary Elements in Lattice Modules [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce the notion of pseudo-primary elements and pseudo-classical primary elements in an $L$-module $M$ and obtain their characterizations. The aim of the paper is to show $rad(N)\in M$, the radical of $N\in M$ is prime if $N$ is either pseudo-primary or pseudo-classical primary.

Cardiovascular manifestations of primary hyperparathyroidism: a narrative review.
Data on cardiovascular disease in primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) are controversial; indeed, at present, cardiovascular involvement is not included among the criteria needed for parathyroidectomy.

Prognosis and Phenotypes of Advanced Head and Neck Carcinoma Associated With Hypercalcemia
ABSTRACT Purpose Hypercalcemia is the most common metabolic disorder in cancer, affecting 10%–20% of patients with advanced malignancies, including squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (HNSCC), though its prognostic significance remains poorly studied.

On primary and secondary repetitions in words [PDF]
Combinatorial properties of maximal repetitions (runs) in formal words are studied. We classify all maximal repetitions in a word as primary and secondary where the set of all primary repetitions determines all the other repetitons in the word. Essential combinatorial properties of primary repetitions are established.

Osteitis fibrosa cystica—a forgotten radiological feature of primary hyperparathyroidism

ABSTRACT Background Hypoparathyroidism is a complication associated with significant morbidity and results from inadvertent removal of the parathyroid during thyroid surgery. Therefore, intra‐operative identification of parathyroid tissue is essential to minimize the risk of hypoparathyroidism.

Abstract This paper presents the final results obtained by this laboratory during a 3½-year investigation of primary hyperparathyroidism. The project involved establishment of a routine test procedure for more reliable diagnosis of this condition; a study of the incidence of renal lithiasis in hyperparathyroidism, and, finally, the ...

Cognitive Radio Transmission Strategies for Primary Erasure Channels [PDF]
A fundamental problem in cognitive radio systems is that the cognitive radio is ignorant of the primary channel state and the interference it inflicts on the primary license holder. In this paper we assume that the primary transmitter sends packets across an erasure channel and the primary receiver employs ACK/NAK feedback (ARQ) to retransmit erased ...

Diagnostic biases are potentially life‐threatening. We present a case of extreme hypercalcemia falsely diagnosed as premature ventricular complexes attributed to heavy coffee consumption, while symptoms and electrocardiographic findings of hypercalcemia were disregarded. Abstract Severe hypercalcemia has an arrhythmogenic effect. We present a case of a
