Plane wave scattering from thin dielectric disk in free space: Generalized boundary conditions, regularizing Galerkin technique and whispering gallery mode resonances

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 15, Issue 10, Page 1159-1170, 12 August 2021., 2021
Abstract Considered is the plane‐wave scattering from and absorption by a thin circular dielectric disk. The analysis uses a set of the singular integral equations for the effective electric and magnetic currents, derived using the generalized boundary conditions on the disk median section.

A numerical solution for the equation of the lifting surface in subsonic flow including tunnel effects [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2011
We employ the images method to establish the lifting surface equation including tunnel effects. We obtain a 2d hypersingular integral and we utilize Gauss-type quadrature formulas to discretize it.

Approximate Methods for Solving Problems of Mathematical Physics on Neural Hopfield Networks

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
A Hopfield neural network is described by a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. We develop a broad range of numerical schemes that are applicable for a wide range of computational problems.

OPERATOR METHOD IN THE PROBLEM OF THE H-POLARIZED WAVE DIFFRACTION BY TWO SEMI-INFINITE GRATINGS PLACED IN THE SAME PLANE [PDF]

open access: yesRadio Physics and Radio Astronomy, 2021
Purpose: Problem of the H-polarized plane wave diffraction by the structure, which consists of two semi-infinite strip gratings, is considered. The gratings are placed in the same plane. The gap between the gratings is arbitrary. The purpose of the paper

A generalized method for scattering from wide cavities with specified wave functions

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 15, Issue 1, Page 69-79, 8 January 2021., 2021
Abstract This study developed a generalized solution based on modal expansion for scattering by large cavities with known wave functions placed in an infinite perfect electric plane. Under the assumption of a large cavity, to reduce simulation time and simplify expressions, the half‐space above cavity with a strong singular Green's function is ...

Stress intensity factor for multiple cracks in bonded dissimilar materials using hypersingular integral equations

open access: yesApplied Mathematical Modelling, 2019
This paper deals with the multiple inclined or circular arc cracks in the upper half of bonded dissimilar materials subjected to shear stress. Using the complex variable function method, and with the help of the continuity conditions of the traction and ...

Extrapolations for hypersingular integrals [PDF]

open access: yesSCIENTIA SINICA Mathematica, 2015
By using the mildpoint trapezoidal rule a generalized Euler-Maclaurin expansion for computing Hadamard finite part values of the hypersingular integrals with a singular point on the inteval interior is shown, where there are some negative exponential terms of the step size in the expansion. It means that the rule is divergent.
