Harnessing Carbon‐Containing Materials for Next‐Generation High‐Temperature Electromagnetic Wave Absorbers

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
Traditional carbon materials show limited high‐temperature oxidation resistance, which becomes pronounced above 673 K and significantly restricts their practical applicability. To address this challenge, enhancing polarization loss and leveraging its negative temperature dependence to offset the temperature‐induced increase in conductance loss are ...

Microstructure, mechanical, and thermal properties of compositionally complex (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6 ceramics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 23, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract Novel compositionally complex borides, (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2 and (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6, were fabricated using spark plasma sintering process. (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6 exhibits a dual‐phase microstructure, in which (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2 is a primary phase with the hexagonal structure and LaB6 is a secondary phase with a cubic structure.

Flight Control of a Novel Distributed Tiltrotor UAV With Experiments

open access: yesIET Control Theory &Applications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Considering the mode transition control of a novel distributed tiltrotor UAV, we designed a fast fixed‐time sliding mode attitude controller to improve the response speed and robustness of the control system. Furthermore, a smooth mode transition strategy is developed to guarantee the stable conversion between fixed‐wing and helicopter modes ...
