Upscaling Land Surface Fluxes Through Hyper Resolution Remote Sensing in Space, Time, and the Spectrum

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 129, Issue 10, October 2024.
Abstract Numerous efforts to measure land surface fluxes, from leaf to canopy scales, have significantly advanced the field of biogeoscience. However, upscaling these estimates to larger spatial and temporal scales remains a challenge. Recent advancements in remote sensing provide new opportunities to bridge these gaps in upscaling efforts.

Neural-based spatial-spectral sensitivity correction for push-brum hyperspectral cameras

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика
A neural network-based method for trainable spatial-spectral sensitivity correction of a push-broom hyperspectral sensor is proposed. Unlike traditional calibration approaches that equalize the recorded signal from a uniformly illuminated Lambertian ...

Optimization of Lighting Parameters for Imaging with the Optical Identification Module

open access: yesСельскохозяйственные машины и технологии
Hyperspectral analysis is a non-invasive method that reduces losses and improves fruit quality by accurately identifying defects during sorting. A key requirement for obtaining reliable data is stable, uniform illumination provided by specialized light ...

Mapping of Sabah Islands using Airborne Hyperspectrometer

open access: yesJournal of Geography and Geology, 2009
Human recreational activities and tourism are concentrated on the islands and in coastal waters, often depending on the maintenance of high water quality. The managing of impacts of urbanization and industrialization on the coastal zone ecology has become a high priority for many nations such as Malaysia and, hence, the need to develop better methods ...

Modeling the illuminance distribution in the detection plane of a spaceborne Offner hyperspectrometer

open access: yesComputer Optics, 2017
The modeling of the illuminance distribution in the detection plane of an optical scheme composed of an objective and an Offner spectrometer is conducted. We calculate the illuminance distribution in the detection plane of the hyperspectrometer in the geometric optics approximation.

A High-Frequency and Real-Time Ground Remote Sensing System for Obtaining Water Quality Based on a Micro Hyper-Spectrometer

open access: yesSensors
The safeguarding of scarce water resources is critically dependent on continuous water quality monitoring. Traditional methods like satellite imagery and automated underwater observation have limitations in cost-efficiency and frequency. Addressing these

Modeling action of a hyperspectrometer based on the offner scheme within geometric optics

open access: yesComputer Optics, 2014
We considered comparative modeling action of a hyperspectrometer based on the Offner scheme including prisms or a diffraction grating within the geometrical optics. It is shown that the use of a diffraction grating instead of a prism results in a more uniform spread of the spectral components of the dispersed image.

Simulation of a hyperspectrometer based on linear spectral filters using vector bessel beams

open access: yesComputer Optics, 2014
We discuss the simulation of a hyperspectrometer based on the use of linear variable filters. The possibility of recovery of the image spectral pixels through the solution of the integral equation is considered. Estimates of the scattering spot size as a function of the spectral filter parameters are obtained.
