Promoting Autophagy Mitigates Stress‐Induced Remodeling in Patient iPSC‐CMs with the Phospholamban R9C Mutation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Phospholamban (PLN) R9C mutation reduces SERCA2a binding, increasing calcium recycling and baseline contractility. However, the excess of free PLN promotes pentamer formation, limiting phosphorylation and blunting β‐adrenergic signaling. Under cardiac stress, enhanced functional demands overwhelm proteostasis in PLN R9C cells, leading to misfolded ...

Ythdc1‐p300‐Klf5 Complex‐Mediated Golgi Dysfunction Promotes Aortic Aneurysm

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In their Research Article (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1002/advs.202512116* lF: 14.1 Q1), Wenli Wang and co‐workers identifies a novel lncRNA m6A modification‐dependent regulatory mechanism of vascular homeostasis, and constructs a predictive model for post‐operative short‐term death based on AD patient's features, providing a platform to be able to ...

Folic Acid‐Modified Ginger‐Derived Exosome‐Like Nanoparticles Co‐Delivering Sunitinib Suppress Renal Cell Carcinoma via PI3K‐Akt Pathway Inhibition, P‐gp Downregulation, and Macrophage Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FPD‐GELNs co‐deliver Su and bioactive components. This active‐passive dual‐targeting strategy suppresses the progression of RCC through the following mechanisms: 1) inhibition of the PI3K‐Akt signaling pathway; 2) downregulation of ABCB1/P‐gp to enhance the chemosensitivity of RCC to Su; and 3) reprogramming of macrophages toward M1 polarization and ...

Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing With Simultaneous Echocardiography After Pulmonary Embolism

open access: yesPulmonary Circulation
Although current guidelines recommend standard cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) to evaluate symptomatic patients after pulmonary embolism (PE), CPET with simultaneous echocardiography could provide relevant information to evaluate right ...

Pulmonary‐Targeted Nanoparticles Interrupt the Malignant Mechanical and Biochemical Signaling Crosstalk for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) progression is driven by TGF‐β induced biochemical signals and mechanical signals from increased ECM stiffness. Pulmonary‐targeted VB‐RT NPs not only eliminate excessive ROS and penetrate the dense ECM collagen barrier via NO release, but also simultaneously interrupt the persistent malignant between mechanical and ...

Pulmonary vascular disease, environmental pollution, and climate change

open access: yesPulmonary Circulation
Pollution and climate change constitute a combined, grave and pervasive threat to humans and to the life‐support systems on which they depend. Evidence shows a strong association between pollution and climate change on cardiovascular and respiratory ...

HDAC6: A Novel Histone Deacetylase Implicated in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a vascular remodeling disease with limited therapeutic options. Although exposed to stressful conditions, pulmonary artery (PA) smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) exhibit a “cancer-like” pro-proliferative and anti ...

Interior Decorative VOCs Elevate T Cell‐Mediated Obstructive Lung Disease Risks via Osteogenesis‐Driven Lymphoid‐Biased Hematopoiesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilizes a whole‐body inhalation model to reveal that interior decorative VOCs exposure persistently elevates alveolar T cells. This increase is attributed to lymphoid‐biased hematopoiesis in the bone marrow, which is further driven by IL‐6/IL‐17A‐mediated osteogenic differentiation.
