Hepatic APOF transcript levels correlate inversely with plasma TG and hepatic steatosis in humans. ApoF expression in mice promotes VLDL‐TG production and lipoprotein remnant clearance in mice. Abstract Background NAFLD affects nearly 25% of the global population. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the most common cause of death among patients with NAFLD,

Hypertriglyceridemia in Gout [PDF]
Serum triglyceride levels were significantly higher in 34 patients with gout (42 mg. per 100 ml.) in comparison to the levels in 28 healthy men over 35 years of age (100 mg. per 100 ml.). There was no significant predictive relation between levels of serum uric acid and triglycerides in either group.

Apolipoprotein A5 and Hypertriglyceridemia [PDF]
Hypertriglyceridemia is associated with increased risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) (1)(2)(3)(4)(5), and it is an integral component of the overlapping syndromes of familial combined hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance syndrome, atherogenic lipoprotein profile, and hyperapobetalipoproteinemia (6).
