We provide novel evidence of the effect of lifting markedly different (lighter vs. heavier) loads (mass per repetition) during whole-body resistance training on the development of muscle strength and hypertrophy in previously trained persons.

Mettl3‐Mediated m6A Modification Represents a Novel Therapeutic Target for FSGS
This study explores the roles of Mettl3‐induced N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modifications in Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). The findings reveal that inhibition of Mettl3 results in podocyte injury by modulating the TJP1CDC42 pathway. Moreover, Administration of N6‐methyladenosine attenuates the FSGS phenotype in WT mice induced by Adriamycin ...

Chronic intermittent hypoxia induces premature senescence of osteoprogenitor cells in long bone metaphysis via HIF1α‐mediated EZH2‐H3k27me3 downregulation, leading to impaired bone growth. Restoration of H3K27me3 level via UTX inhibition rescues osteogenesis and growth impairment in young mice.

miRNA‐1 regulation is necessary for mechanical overload‐induced muscle hypertrophy in male mice
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, noncoding RNAs that play a critical role in regulating gene expression post‐transcriptionally. They are involved in various developmental and physiological processes, and their dysregulation is linked to various diseases ...

Exercise induces expression of the myokine irisin, which is known to promote browning of white adipose tissue and has been shown to mediate beneficial effects following exercise. Here we show that irisin induces expression of a number of pro-myogenic and

One special question to start with: can HIF/NFkB be a target in inflammation? [PDF]
Hypoxia and Inflammation are strictly interconnected with important consequences at clinical and therapeutic level. While cell and tissue damage due to acute hypoxia mostly leads to cell necrosis, in chronic hypoxia, cells that are located closer to ...
