Characterisation of GST genes from the Hyphantria cunea and their response to the oxidative stress caused by the infection of Hyphantria cunea nucleopolyhedrovirus (HcNPV)

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2020
The fall webworm, Hyphantria cunea (Drury) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is a major pest found in forests. In this study, the effects of Hyphantria cunea nucleopolyhedrovirus (HcNPV) infection on the transcription levels and activities of glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) in H. cunea were determined.

Knockdown of GFAT disrupts chitin synthesis in Hyphantria cunea larvae

Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology, 2022
Glutamine-fructose-6-phosphate transaminase (GFAT) has been reported to regulate the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway as the first rate-limiting enzyme. As a key enzyme that catalyzes the substrate of glycosylation modification, which has a wide-ranging effect on cellular functions.

A series of population models for Hyphantria cunea with delay and seasonality

Mathematical Biosciences, 2017
In this paper, we establish and study a basic stage-structured model for the population of Hyphantria cunea, a delay differential equation model and a model incorporating the resource and seasonality. By introducing the population reproduction number R0, we show that R0 acts as a threshold parameter for the existence and stability of equilibria.

Sex pheromone of the fall webworm moth,Hyphantria cunea

Journal of Chemical Ecology, 1982
Three compounds have been identified as sex pheromone components produced by female fall webworm moths,Hyphantria cunea (Drury). These compounds are: (Z,Z)-9,12-octadecadienal (I), (Z,Z,Z)-9,12,15-octadecatrienal (II), and (Z,Z)-3,6-cis-9,10-epoxyheneicosadiene (III).
