Henicospora gen.nov. (Hyphomycetes)

Henicospora gen.nov. is established for two distinct dematiaceous hyphomycetes on decaying leaves of Eucalyptus spp. and Quercus ilex , and dead stems of Rubus fruticosus . The two new species are congeneric with Trichocladium cylindroclavatum Matsushima from dead leaves of Myrica rubra , which is formally transferred to Henicospora .

TWO INTERESTING HYPHOMYCETES

Two interesting Hyphomycetes isolated from horse dung from Mussoorie, Uttar Pradesh, India, are described. Gliophragma setosum gen. et sp. nov. is a synnematous form with slimy, solitary, hyaline blastospores (phragmospores); the cells of the spore are produced by acropetal budding.
