Chromosome Numbers in the Hypocreaceae

Mycologia, 1949
The use of smear techniques (McClintock, 1945; Cutter, 1946) recently has advanced the study of chromosomes in the ascomycetous fungi. The present paper reports a brief survey, carried out with such methods, of the chromosome numbers of several species belonging to different genera of the family Hypocreaceae. It has recently been shown that homothallic

A New Species of Hypomyces (Hypocreaceae) with Phragmosporous Ascospores

Brittonia, 1981
Hypomyces triseptatus Rossman & Rogerson, distinguished by its 3-(5)-septate ascospores and perithecia aggregated in discrete, white, byssoid stromata, is described from Gabon (Africa) occurring on a pyrenomycete on decorticated wood.

Trichoderma agriamazonicum sp. nov. (Hypocreaceae), a new ally in the control of phytopathogens

Microbiological Research, 2023
The genus Trichoderma comprises more than 500 valid species and is commonly used in agriculture for the control of plant diseases. In the present study, a Trichoderma species isolated from Scleronema micranthum (Malvaceae) has been extensively characterized and the morphological and phylogenetic data support the proposition of a new fungal species ...

Taxonomy and phylogenetic appraisal of Hypomyces iranica sp. nov. (Hypocreaceae, Hypocreales)

Asian journal of Mycology, 2022
Hypomyces is an important genus of fungicolous fungi associated with different ascomycetes and basidiomycetes. Numerous researchers have conducted morphological and molecular studies on this genus. In this study, we collected submerged branches of Fagus sp. from Mazandaran Province in Iran, from which a fungal isolate was obtained.

New species and new Chinese record of Hypocreaceae from China

Phytotaxa
Trichoderma clavaticapitatum sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on specimen collected from alpine Hengduan Mountains, Yunnan Province, China. The fungus is characterized by simple, clavate stromata with a capitate fertile part, flask-shaped, subglobose to oblong perithecia, and cylindrical asci containing 16 part-ascospores.

Biological control effect of Trichoderma harzianum (Hypocreales: Hypocreaceae) against phytopathogens

Environmental Quality Management
AbstractChemical pesticides are synthetic substances created to manage plant pests. Frequent chemical usage causes extensive damage to crops and contributes to pest resistance, leading to environmental contamination, harm to non‐target organisms, the emergence of pesticide‐resistant species, and potential health hazards for humans.
