First report of a lichenicolous species of Hypomyces (Hypocreaceae), H. peltigericola sp. nov.
2017Hypomyces peltigericola sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on material collected in France on thalli of the lichen Peltigera canina. In culture the ascospores yielded a cladobotryum-like asexual morph that was sequenced. A bioassay was developed to quantify germination rates of Hypocrea nigricans spores passing through the alimentary canals of the three acarid mite species Tyrophagus putrescentiae, Histiogaster sp. and Schwiebea sp. These mites are suspected of causing damage to mushroom production in Japan.

The genus Thuemenella with remarks on Hypocreaceae and Nectriaceae
1964The genus Thuemenella Penz. & Sacc. is revised. The new combinations T. bicolor (Ell. & Ev.) Boedijn, T. cubispora (Ell. & Holw.) Boedijn, T. hirsuta (Ell. & Ev.) Boedijn and the new species T. hexaspora Boedijn are proposed. Descriptions are given of the families Hypocreaceae and Nectriaceae. The genera of the former family are briefly discussed.
