Current reproductive effort shapes the response to infection in a passerine bird
Our study fills a much‐needed gap and connects the body temperature response to infection with the framework of reproductive investment and trade‐offs between current reproduction and self‐maintenance. Allergic Reactivity and Memory Occur Independently of Sequential Switching Through IgG1
Sequential switching through IgG1 is not required to produce IgE with sufficient allergen‐binding affinity to cause anaphylaxis against food allergens. Sequential switching through IgG1 does not confer a competitive advantage to become an IgE‐expressing cell.
