A Coupled Wildfire-Emission and Dispersion Framework for Probabilistic PM2.5 Estimation
Accurate representation of fire emissions and smoke transport is crucial for current and future wildfire-smoke projections. We present a flexible modeling framework for emissions sourced from the First Street Foundation Wildfire Model (FSF-WFM) to ...

Mediterranean tropical‐like cyclones show a clear seasonality, with September cyclones exhibiting the deepest convection and Ianos representing the most extreme case. While one or more dry intrusions are typically detected during the cyclone life cycle, Ianos instead features two much weaker descending airflows.

Timing the Sacred: A Multi‐Step Chronological Framework for the Llullaillaco Inca Burial
ABSTRACT Absolute radiocarbon dating offers high precision, but its application to historical contexts, such as the Inca civilization, requires a rigorous methodological approach. This research examines methods to enhance chronological accuracy through a case study of artifacts from the Llullaillaco Capacocha sacrifice.

Development of a statistical forecasting model for PM2.5 in Macau based on clustering of backward trajectories [PDF]
A daily PM2.5 forecasting model based on multiple linear regression (MLR) and backward trajectory clustering of HYSPLIT was designed for its application to small cities where PM2.5 level is easily affected by regional transport.

Abstract Accurate quantification of hazardous material releases in cities is critical for emergency managers aiming to mitigate health impacts and mortality in the population. Here, a study on the development and evaluation of a high‐resolution (1‐km, 1‐hr) urban‐scale atmospheric inverse modeling system for the Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD ...

Abstract Dust, sea salt, and anthropogenic and biogenic particles in total atmospheric deposition are sources of essential elements that can significantly impact biogeochemical cycles in the Atlantic Ocean and in islands of the Caribbean region. This unique 41‐month data set records direct sampling of total atmospheric deposition from March 2015 to ...
