Quality of life 1 year after uterine artery embolization vs hysterectomy for symptomatic adenomyosis (QUESTA study)

After 1 year, both uterine artery embolization (UAE) and hysterectomy significantly improved health‐related quality of life (HRQOL) for patients with symptomatic adenomyosis. Laparoscopic lateral suspension (LLS) with mesh provides effective apical and anterior vaginal support for pelvic organ prolapse, with anatomical success rates exceeding 90% and a low complication profile. This meta‐analysis reinforces LLS as a reliable surgical option, though longer follow‐up is needed to confirm its long‐term efficacy.
