Hysteresis [PDF]

open access: possible, 2023
Three competing conceptualizations of hysteresis in economics are identified: the unit/zero root approach, “true” hysteresis, and hysteresis conceived as a product of historical time. The properties of these conceptualizations are discussed and their pros and cons considered.

Pulmonary hysteresis

Journal of Applied Physiology, 1962
The pressure-volume (P-V) diagram of the human lung was recorded on three subjects at minute ventilation from 2.5 to 180 liters/min. The area included between the inspiratory and expiratory curve is the expression of the work necessary to overcome a) airway resistance to the flow, b) lung viscosity, and c) eventual pulmonary hysteresis.

On the Current–Voltage Hysteresis in Perovskite Solar Cells: Dependence on Perovskite Composition and Methods to Remove Hysteresis

Advances in Materials, 2019
Current‐density–voltage (J–V) hysteresis in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is a critical issue because it is related to power conversion efficiency and stability. Although parameters affecting the hysteresis have been already reported and reviewed, little

Coagulated SnO2 Colloids for High Performance Planar Perovskite Solar Cells with Negligible Hysteresis and Improved Stability.

Angewandte Chemie, 2019
Organic-inorganic perovskite solar cells with a planar architecture have attracted wide attentions due to the simple structure and easy fabrication. However, the power conversion efficiency and hysteresis behavior need to be further improved for planar ...

A Unified Capacitive-Coupled Memristive Model for the Non-Pinched Current-Voltage Hysteresis Loop.

Nano letters (Print), 2019
The concept of the memristor, a resistor with memory, was proposed by Chua in 1971 as the fourth basic element of electric circuitry. Despite a significant amount of effort devoted to the understanding of memristor theory, our understanding of the non ...

Steep-slope hysteresis-free negative capacitance MoS2 transistors

Nature Nanotechnology, 2017
The so-called Boltzmann tyranny defines the fundamental thermionic limit of the subthreshold slope of a metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) at 60 mV dec−1 at room temperature and therefore precludes lowering of the supply voltage ...

MULTIPURPOSE HYSTERESIS CNN

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2004
In this paper, we propose a multipurpose hysteresis CNN (cellular neural network) made of first-order cells with hysteresis switches. The hysteresis CNN has applications not only in image processing, but also in pattern formation, nonlinear wave propagation and associative and dynamic memories, because each hysteresis CNN cell has two operating modes,
