Hysteretic behavior of angular dependence of exchange bias in FeNi/FeMn bilayers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
For FeNi/FeMn bilayers, the angular dependence of exchange bias shows hysteresis between clockwise and counterclockwise rotations, as a new signature. The hysteresis decreases for thick antiferromagnet layers.

Research on probability-based hysteresis modeling method of TMR sensor

open access: yesDiance yu yibiao
Hysteresis is one of the main factors affecting the measurement accuracy of TMR (tunnel magneto resistance) sensors. Generally, hysteresis is compensated by hysteresis analysis to reduce its influence.

Hysteresis of noninteracting and spin-orbit coupled atomic Fermi gases with relaxation

open access: yes, 2016
Hysteresis can be found in driven many-body systems such as magnets and superfluids. Rate-dependent hysteresis arises when a system is driven periodically while relaxing towards equilibrium.

Unemployment Hysteresis in Middle-Income Countries

open access: yesJDE (Journal of Developing Economies), 2021
Business cycles pave the way for asymmetry in the unemployment rate behavior with rapid increases during recessions and slight decreases in expansions.

Continuous dynamics in behavior reveal interactions between perceptual warping in categorization and speech-in-noise perception

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
IntroductionSpoken language comprehension requires listeners map continuous features of the speech signal to discrete category labels. Categories are however malleable to surrounding context and stimulus precedence; listeners’ percept can dynamically ...

A semi-compartmental model describing the pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic relationship [PDF]

open access: yesAnesthesia and Pain Medicine, 2020
Frequently, we encounter the phenomenon of hysteresis in kinetic-dynamic modeling. The hysteresis loop in the concentration-effect curve suggests a time discrepancy caused by various pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic factors. To collapse the hysteresis

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Hysteresis and Noise in Stripe and Clump Forming Systems

open access: yes, 2005
We use simulations to examine hysteresis and noise in a model system that produces heterogeneous orderings including stripe and clump phases. In the presence of a disordered substrate, these heterogeneous phases exhibit 1/f$^\alpha$ noise and hysteresis ...
