ChemPhotoChem, Volume 10, Issue 1, January 2026.This work incorporates crystalline thin films fabricated via pulsed laser deposition to study fundamentals of water splitting photoelectrocatalysis. Novel oxynitride films of perovskite CaTaO3 ‐xNx and trirutile MgTa2O6 ‐xNx are paired with a NiOx overlayer to test their performance and stability under oxygen evolution reaction conditions.
