Development of Magnetic Nanoparticle‐Added Cryogel Membrane Materials for the Removal of Pharmaceutical Wastes

open access: yesNatural Sciences, Volume 6, Issue 1, January 2026.
Magnetic mg‐Fe3O4‐APTES nanoparticle‐doped p(HEMA)‐phenylboronic acid cryogel membranes are developed for the efficient removal of dopamine from pharmaceutical wastewater. Utilizing boronate affinity interactions, the system demonstrates a high adsorption capacity of 1969.1 mg/g and eliminates 81.3% of the target molecule within 15 minutes.

Quantifying natural amyloid plaque accumulation using disease progression modeling with ADNI, BioFINDER, and LEARN datasets

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue S2, December 2025.
Abstract Background Preventing amyloid accumulation may delay the earliest stages of AD (preclinical, stages 1‐2) (Jack CR Jr et al., Alzh Dementia 20: 5143‐5169, 2024) and downstream irreversible pathological changes, that ultimately lead to later AD clinical stages (3+) with cognitive and functional impairment.

The birds and the trees: Avian ecosystem (dis)service perspectives and farmers' willingness to plant native trees in the agricultural landscape of the Galapagos Islands

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 7, Issue 12, Page 3182-3206, December 2025.
Abstract Agricultural landscapes hold great potential for biodiversity conservation; however, this will require finding solutions that work for both people and nature. Increasingly, the conservation community is calling for more cross‐disciplinary research integrating ecological questions with social and behavioural sciences for a more complete and ...

Work‐related technology use during nonwork time and its consequences: A resource‐oriented perspective

open access: yesJournal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Volume 98, Issue 3, September 2025.
Abstract Employees increasingly use information and communication technologies (i.e., ICTs) to work during nonwork time (e.g., responding to e‐mails, taking calls), even when not contractually required. Despite potential work‐related benefits, voluntary work‐related ICT use can affect employees' recovery and well‐being.
