Interdisciplinary Materials, EarlyView.Photoelectrochemical activation of a NiFe oxyhydroxide layer on an In2S3 photoanode triggers selective sacrificial Ni leaching and surface porosification. This dynamic process induces interfacial reconstruction, generating an intimately coupled, amorphous Fe‐rich catalytic overlayer.
