Unikalumas ir entropija kultūros paveldo informacijoje ir komunikacijoje

open access: yesInformacijos Mokslai, 2010

Exact Markovian kinetic equation for a quantum Brownian oscillator

open access: yes, 2007
We derive an exact Markovian kinetic equation for an oscillator linearly coupled to a heat bath, describing quantum Brownian motion. Our work is based on the subdynamics formulation developed by Prigogine and collaborators.

Family types and family dimensions: The paradigmatic framework and the circumplex model

open access: yesJournal of Family Theory &Review, Volume 17, Issue 2, Page 171-188, June 2025.
Abstract The Paradigmatic Framework is a formal and rigorously derived systems‐theoretic model of the organization and operation of human systems, a map covering not just families but also the broader range of human social systems in general. The origins, derivation, and development of the framework and its salient features are summarized.

Synergistically complex social well-being: The trust factor

open access: yesRUDN journal of Sociology
In recent decades, the social has acquired a synergistically complex nature (N.I. Lapin), which is caused both by objective determinants of the dynamic development of social, natural and technological realities, potentially increasing the production of ...

Improved Calculation of Vibrational Mode Lifetimes in Anharmonic Solids - Part I: Theory

open access: yes, 2009
We propose here a formal foundation for practical calculations of vibrational mode lifetimes in solids. The approach is based on a recursion method analysis of the Liouvillian. From this we derive the lifetime of a vibrational mode in terms of moments of

Mental self‐renewal as a measure of systems thinking

open access: yesSystems Research and Behavioral Science, Volume 42, Issue 3, Page 675-701, May/June 2025.
Abstract Systems thinking research confronts theoretical and empirical challenges, and new measures based on the cognitive sciences have been sought. In this paper, mental self‐renewal is proposed as a suitable new theoretical construct for studying systems thinking.

Plio‐Pleistocene Climatic Fluctuations and Divergence With Gene Flow Drive Continent‐Wide Diversification in an African Bird

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 34, Issue 10, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Diversification mechanisms in Sub‐Saharan Africa have long attracted research interest, with varying support for either allopatric or parapatric models of speciation. However, studies have seldom been performed across the entire continent, a scale which could elucidate the relative importance of allopatric and parapatric models of divergence ...

The unrepeatable river: Exploring chaotic variability in laboratory channels

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 3, 15 March 2025.
Chaos limits repeatability in geomorphic experiments. Fourteen stream table trials produced divergent outcomes despite identical initial conditions, revealing inherent variability and challenging experimental certainty. The findings prompt a reconsideration of modelling approaches, from constraining variability to embracing it.

The Evolution of Multicomponent Systems at High Pressures: VI. The Thermodynamic Stability of the Hydrogen-Carbon System: The Genesis of Hydrocarbons and the Origin of Petroleum

open access: yes, 2002
The spontaneous genesis of hydrocarbons which comprise natural petroleum have been analyzed by chemical thermodynamic stability theory. The constraints imposed upon chemical evolution by the second law of thermodynamics are briefly reviewed; and the ...
