IAA detection in humic substances

Soil Biology and Biochemistry, 1998
The aim of the work was to verify if humic substances conaine auxin component able to justify its biological activity. To this aim various preparations of anti-IAA antibodies were used. Quantitative determinations of IAA in HS was corried out using an enzyme immunoassay, Phytodetek-IAA.

Optimal autoscaling in a IaaS cloud

Proceedings of the 9th international conference on Autonomic computing, 2012
An application provider leases resources (i.e., virtual machine instances) of variable configurations from a IaaS provider over some lease duration (typically one hour). The application provider (i.e., consumer) would like to minimize their cost while meeting all service level obligations (SLOs).

Towards Sustainable IaaS Pricing

2013
Cloud computing has the potential to improve resource efficiency by consolidating many virtual computers onto each physical host. This economization is based on the assumption that a significant percentage of virtual machines are indeed not fully utilized.

Anomaly Detection in IaaS Clouds

2013 IEEE 5th International Conference on Cloud Computing Technology and Science, 2013
Security is still a major concern in Cloud computing, especially the detection of nefarious use or abuse of cloud instances. One reason for this, is the ever-growing complexity and dynamic of the underlying system design and architecture. To be able to detect misuse of cloud instances, this work presents an anomaly detection system for Infrastructure ...

Cloud Search Engine for IaaS

2013
Cloud based online storage enables the storage of massive data. In these systems, a full text search engine is very important for finding documents. In this paper, we propose a distributed search engine suitable for searching a cloud. In our previous work, we developed a distributed search engine, the cooperative search engine (CSE).

Virtualization, clouds and IaaS at CERN

Proceedings of the 6th international workshop on Virtualization Technologies in Distributed Computing Date, 2012
The four detectors at CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are delivering about 22 Petabytes of data per year. CERN-IT's computer center is part of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG), serving as the Tier-0 facility for processing these data. Trying to keep track with the increasing demands, CERN-IT is facing a number of challenges: more capacity ...

A hypothetical route for the biogenisis of IAA

Planta, 1966
A method is described for using apical sections of Avena coleoptiles grown in the dark for 70 hours as an assay for IAA and for potential precursors of IAA. The experiments were carried out under as sterile conditions as possible.Tryptophan appeared not to act as a precursor of IAA.
