Microscopic investigation of IBM and IBFM

Nuclear Physics A, 1984
Abstract A new approach to the microscopic investigation of the interacting boson model (IBM) and the interacting boson-fermion model (IBFM) is proposed. The S-pair degrees of freedom separated in the beginning are treated rigorously. The rest of the space is made up by a kind of quasi-fermions out of which the D-pairs are constructed.

Description of the 190–199Hg Nuclei Under the Frameworks of IBM-1 and IBFM-1

Iranian Journal of Science and Technology, Transaction A: Science, 2017
The energy levels and the electric quadrupole transition probabilities B(E2; Ji → Jf) for even–odd 191–199Hg have been investigated. The negative spin states of the even–odd 191–199Hg isotopes are studied within the framework of the interacting boson–fermion model (IBFM–1).

IBFM for barium isotopes and chaoticity

Progress in Particle and Nuclear Physics, 1992
Abstract Fluctuation properties have been analysed for the energy levels predicted by IBFM calculations in the Ba isotopes 121Ba to 131Ba. The results are indicating, in general, a situation which is close to the chaotic limit. For the lighter isotopes studied (121 and 131), a phase transition is obtained in the low-spin, positive states, from a ...

Descriptive study of the 120 – 127 Xe isotopes using the IBM-1 and IBFM-1

Chinese Journal of Physics, 2017
Abstract In this work, positive parity low-spin states in 120 – 127 Xe have been investigated using the Interacting Boson Model and the Interacting Boson–Fermion Model. The energy levels, electromagnetic transition B(E2) and B(M1) , mixing ratios, relative B(E2) values and the potential energy surface for the even–even 120 – 126 Xe ...

IBFM for Ba isotopes and chaoticity

Zeitschrift Für Physik A, 1992
Fluctuation properties have been analysed for the energy levels predicted by IBFM calculations in the Ba isotopes121Ba to131Ba. The results indicate, in general, a situation which is close to the chaotic limit. For the lighter isotopes studied (121 and 123), a phase transition is obtained in the low-spin, positive parity states, from a situation close ...

An isospin invariant form of the interacting boson model for odd nuclei (IBFM-3)

Nuclear Physics A, 1988
Abstract The interacting boson-fermion model IBFM for odd nuclei is extended to incorporate isospin symmetry in nuclei where valence neutrons and protons occupy the same orbits. A mapping is established with shell-model states. A boson-fermion hamiltonian is derived for the special case of charge-independent pairing forces and is found to reproduce ...

Quantum chaos forN=79 nuclei in the IBFM model

Zeitschrift Für Physik A, Atomic Nuclei, 1990
Spectral rigidityΔ3 (L) is calculated for the energy spectra of131Te,135Ba and137Ce, obtained in the IBFM calculation. Results reveal an intermediate situation between regularity and chaos, but remarkably closer to the chaotic limit. Influence of the model parameters on the fluctuation pattern is discussed.

Nature of93Rb levels studied in IBFM

Zeitschrift Für Physik A, Atomic Nuclei, 1989
The structure of the low-lying states with negative parity of3793Rb56 has been studied in the framework of the Interacting Boson-Fermion Model (IBFM) using the even-even neighbour3894Sr56 as a core. A good description of the properties of the levels has been obtained.

On the microscopic origin of the Pauli term in the Interaction Boson Fermion Model (IBFM)

Progress in Particle and Nuclear Physics, 1983
Several attempts have been made in order to derive the boson-fermion exchange interaction, introduced first by Mottelson (Mottelson 1967, Bohr and Mottelson 1969) from microscopic fermion Hamiltonians. Doenau and Janssen (1973) and, in the framework of the Interaction Boson Fermion Model (IBFM) (Iachello 1979), Talmi (1981) and Scholten and Dieperink ...
