The Genetic and Morphological Basis of Local Adaptation to Elevational Extremes in an Alpine Finch
We investigated morphological and genetic variation in the Sierra Nevada Gray‐crowned Rosy Finch to identify traits important for local adaptation in alpine environments. By combining trait measurements with genome‐wide analyses, we uncovered loci linked to thermoregulation, altitude adaptation, and cold tolerance.

Evolution and Climate Adaptation in Eurasian Gyrfalcon Populations
This reports the influence of past, current and future Arctic climate change to the evolution of Eurasian gyrfalcons (Falco rusticolus), and reveals that its current evolutionary potential is insufficient to cope with the ongoing Arctic warming. ABSTRACT Climate change is considered a key driver for shaping ecological and evolutionary processes of ...

Abstract Research Summary We explore how the emergence of digital distribution platforms (DDPs), platforms that facilitate transactions between consumers and incumbents, affects industry structure and competition. Studying the effect of delivery platforms on restaurants in the United States from 2012 to 2018, we show that DDP emergence increases exit ...

Swift/XRT follow-up observations of unidentified INTEGRAL/IBIS sources
Many sources listed in the 4th IBIS/ISGRI survey are still unidentified, i.e. lacking an X-ray counterpart or simply not studied at lower energies (< 10 keV).

Abstract The currently circulating high‐pathogenicity avian influenza (HPAI) virus of the subtype H5 causes variable illness and death in wild and domestic birds and mammals, as well as in humans. This virus evolved from the Goose/Guangdong lineage of the HPAI H5 virus, which emerged in commercial poultry in China in 1996, spilled over into wild birds,
