Di dalam sebuah keluarga, kehamilan adalah sebuah anugrah yang dinantikan. Ibu hamil perlu untuk memperhatikan asupan nutrisi. Nutrisinya digunakan untuk mencukupi kebutuhan gizi Ibu dan janin. Selama kehamilan dan berlanjut pada masa nifas, ibu mengalami peningkatan kebutuhan zat gizi, utamanya yaitu protein, asam folat, dan mineral.
