Color correction using rotation matrix for HDR rendering in iCAM06

open access: yes2011 IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision Workshops (ICCV Workshops), 2011
Recently, a new image appearance model called iCAM06 was designed for high dynamic range (HDR) image rendering. Most of the HDR rendering algorithms include many color space transformations from RGB of input image to RGB of output devices for HDR rendering.

Visual acuity-adaptive detail enhancement and shadow noise reduction for iCAM06-based HDR imaging

open access: yesOptical Review, 2015
An image appearance model is extremely useful for high-dynamic-range image (HDRI) rendering. However, the base–detail separation and the tone compression process for tonal control cause degradations in image quality. This study focuses on the de-saturation, reduced contrast, and noise problems in dark regions that occur through HDRI-rendering.

Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation, 2007
A new image appearance model, designated iCAM06, was developed for High-Dynamic-Range (HDR) image rendering. The model, based on the iCAM framework, incorporates the spatial processing models in the human visual system for contrast enhancement, photoreceptor light adaptation functions that enhance local details in highlights and shadows, and functions ...

Seeing Through Sunglasses: Modeling Color Vision With Hyperspectral Imaging and ICAM06

Color Research & Application
ABSTRACT Sunglasses provide essential protection against ultraviolet radiation, reduce glare, and can also enhance color contrast and color rendition. However, the sunglass industry currently lacks validated image‐based methods to characterize the perceptual impact of such filters.
